Join the Michigan Conference in
Disaster Relief Efforts - Training Opportunity

Newburg UMC has a proud history of helping communities recover after natural disasters by sending mission teams to areas in need, such as Louisiana, Puerto Rico, Midland, and Detroit. Now, we’ve been asked to consider sending a team to North Carolina in the new year.

To prepare, the Michigan Conference is offering a disaster relief training event on Saturday, October 26. This training will equip and certify those interested in participating in future mission trips. The event will take place at First UMC Saginaw (4790 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, MI 48638) from 9 AM to 5 PM.

If you’re able to attend, please register. Pre-registration is essential and is due by Tuesday, October 15.

Newburg UMC will cover the $35 fee for attendees, which includes materials, lunch, a T-shirt, a certification badge (valid for three years), the ERT manual, and a background check. While this training is not required to join the mission trip, it is highly recommended.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to serve others and be a part of Newburg’s ongoing mission to make a difference in the lives of those impacted by natural disasters.
